CANADA'S 150th BIRTHDAY MURAL

 

 

 

 

  Students can work together to create a paper mural that celebrates Canada's 150th birthday.  
  This cooperative exercise aligns with the Ontario Visual Arts Curriculum  
  and is designed for classes of up to 150 students.  
     
  1. Click here to print a set of 150 grid squares.    
  2. Each student should decorate 1 grid square with colourful designs and patterns using crayons, markers and/or pencil crayons.    
  3. Students should use warm colours (red, orange, magenta, etc.) on the grey spaces. Students should use light colours on the white spaces. Students should not colour over the black areas.    
  4. Students should trim their grid square.    
  5. Assemble the squares together, as shown. The finished size will be 72 x 48".
